(IBEXNews) – The coronavirus pandemic was no excuse for this woman to act like a cop trying to stop a riot.

But that’s exactly what this Washington, D.C. woman did at a Walmart on Monday when a group of fellow shoppers tried to share an elevator with her.

The woman, who was not wearing a mask but demanded social distance, ended up pepper-spraying the crowd after they refused to let her ride in the elevator alone, local news station WJLA reported.

A video shot by another shopper who was watching the chaotic scene shows another woman running out of the elevator, holding her face and screaming in pain.

At least one other woman tried to attack the pepper-spraying assailant, but a security guard appeared to hold her outside the elevator, which leads to the store’s parking garage.

Police did not make any arrests, but they reportedly confiscated the pepper spray and are investigating the incident.

The woman who was seen screaming in the video declined medical treatment, according to WJLA.
