3 City Employees Arrested in One Day, Including FDNY Worker Busted for Masturbating in Subway Bathroom
(IBEXNews) - Cops arrested an elderly off-duty FDNY employee after he was caught pleasuring himself in a Midtown train station bathroom with crystal meth in his pockets — one of three city employees busted within a 12-hour span.
Albert Simmonds, 74, an administrative staff analyst for the FDNY, was slapped with public lewdness and drug possession charges after cops spotted the senior masturbating inside the bathroom at the 42nd St.-Bryant Park station about 4 p.m., police said.
When cops took Simmonds into custody and went through his pockets, they found a small amount of meth inside a glassine envelope, authorities said.
About two hours later on Staten Island, cops arrested off-duty city sanitation worker Rafael Casimiro, 37, who allegedly had marijuana and other drugs on him when he was pulled over for driving the wrong way down a one-way street.
In a third unrelated case, city Administration of Children’s Services employee Tasheem Strother, 46, was arrested for assaulting his wife in front of his child inside his home in the Rockaways. The child was not injured, police said.
Strother, who works as a community coordinator for ACS, was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17-years-old, cops said.
All three men were awaiting arraignment Saturday.
