Amal Clooney Just Wore One Of Fall’s Biggest Trends

But sometimes she too, like the rest of us, wants to wear no pants at all. The no-pants movement is a little easier to get behind when there isn’t snow or temperatures below 30 in the forecast, but that is precisely why knee-high boots exist. At least, that’s what we’d like to think.

For her anniversary date with George Clooney this past September, Amal wore a pink top, a short black miniskirt and black knee-high boots. It’s a look so good we haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. Of course Clooney looked amazing, but the boots were easily the star of her whole outfit.

Black knee-high boots are a fall and winter outfit MVP because they make it possible to wear your favorite summer skirts all throughout the cold. And, although bare upper thigh like Clooney’s won’t necessarily be possible come December, you can easily throw on a pair of tights with any knee high boots and miniskirt combo for a weather-appropriate look.
